There are two different sources here: the official Kling 4.0 model announcement and KIE’s Kling 3.0 API documentation. The first describes the model’s advertised capabilities; the second describes a particular integration. This table is a capability comparison, not a measured quality benchmark.

What changes for a creator
If your scene needs several visual checkpoints or a richer combination of references, the 4.0 announcement is relevant. If you are building around an existing API, the accepted request fields matter more than the model’s marketing summary.
A simple product orbit or portrait movement may be a useful first experiment across multiple versions. Keep the input, framing and evaluation criteria consistent when comparing actual outputs.
What this comparison cannot tell you
We have not run a controlled output-quality, speed or cost benchmark here. The examples on this website are selected official 4.0 demos. They are not evidence that every 4.0 result will outperform every 3.0 result.
Use your own representative scenes to compare motion, subject consistency, audio and revision effort. Judge a complete output, not only its most impressive frame.
How model selection will work here
The studio keeps the selected model’s name beside its vendor logo. Kling 4.0 remains disabled until an integration is available and verified. Duration, references and audio options should change with the selected version.
The initial plan uses KIE’s Kling model family. Payments are deferred, and account allowances still need to be defined before a live launch. See availability and release updates for the distinction between model announcements and website access.
